Some of the migrant caravan members are suing President Trump and some of the administration for saying they can't apply for asylum. So now it's going to cost the regular taxpayers millions to defend the lawsuit

It's really basic economics 101. If lower wages didn't hurt people's incomes, why have minimum wages? The typical pattern is that someone eventually gets into a position where they can hire people and from that point on they only hire their own kind. The workforce is taken over by immigrants and the poorest citizens of the host country suffer the most both from low wages and from lost jobs.
Also, if South America is really as bad as you say ... do we want people flooding in from there without proper checks? Isn't it all the more reason to vet people and protect the border with a proper ordered immigration and asylum process?
These countries are bad because they have abandoned law and order and allowed a free-for-all - the exact thing that civilized countries have to avoid and protect against.
A proper ordered process benefits legitimate immigrants the most and disadvantages the criminals and people smugglers. That anyone would want to support things that works opposite to that is simply mind boggling to me.
I am taking a basic course in economics, finishing first year at the University. You are correct in everything you say.
Perhaps in the past the idea was popular that immigrants that do the jobs nobody wants benefited America. But now with current research we know that's not true. If illegal immigrants weren't allowed to work in the jobs that nobody wants, like being a maid in plush motels, those corporations would have no choice but to raise the wages for those menial jobs and the LEGALLY unskilled labor force could take those jobs and climb their way out of poverty--LEGALLY.

and if we live 'as though' god were as real as we once believed--how can we go wrong?let us think about this...what would happen if we were given a large amount of cash and we spent it on gifts for our loved ones but-- a knock at the door and the police are here!
that cash was counterfeit and those gifts must be confiscated...what then?good intentions are only that--intentions-- if there is no "there" there.when we were each others' brothers and sisters our love was real but the currency was counterfeit.

We do have to take care of ourselves. Too young I rushed out willy nilly to 'save the world' for our Watchtower overlords and yet there was nobody there to save me.
So much of 'spiritual help' is noise and ideology; aren't we wasting our reservoir of interior goodness on THAT instead of more practical concern for the physical welfare and well-being?The problem is that many people don’t have much of choice. Sometimes you are born into the wrong family. If you are born into the Watchtower religion, you are “encouraged” to get baptized at a young age and coax into knocking on doors and saving strangers from eternal death. How many of us knocked on a door and didn’t realize and will never know--- there was a serial killer on the other side?
Worse, sometimes you are born into the wrong family and in the wrong country.

So Trump said in one of the news reports today on TV that if just ONE rock or bottle is thrown at the military or police like they did in the Mexico border, the military has orders to open fire. The world must know that no foreign nation can invade the United States of America illegally.

Good Morning! Today we were taking a few minutes to try to encourage our neighbors. Many people are concerned with the caravans of immigrants. Some say it’s wrong for them to force their way into our country. Others say we should help them because there are lots of women and children that need help.
What do you think? -------Wait for response.
Did you know the bible tells us that these types of conditions would exist in our time and people would be in fear of the things coming upon the earth, not knowing a way out?
But the bible also tells us that very soon Jehovah, the God of the Bible is going to intervene in man’s affairs and solve all the world’s problems.
I never understood how my parents got sucked into the Watchtower religion until now.
I look at my parents and they aren’t dumb. My dad raised me, provided a place for us to live, paid all the bills, worked his ass off faithfully for years, and sometimes working two jobs that didn’t pay much, and all the while taking care of his responsibilities as an elder. And my mom did her part also. Doing odds jobs to bring in extra money and taking care of the house and preparing our meals and pioneering.
But I can see how pre-internet era, it was very difficult to stay informed. You would have some event like this caravan coming to the U.S. and no one seems to have answers.
Then along comes two individuals who open up their bible and show people a very simple solution that requires no work on the part of humans. Such a simple solution! No more worries of whatever comes our way because very soon, God is going to take care of the problems personally.
All a person has to do is support GOD’S KINGDOM!
Yea, I can see a possibility of me falling for this shit if I didn’t have the internet.
I’m seeing my parents in a whole different light.

There are regular civilians who have trained for this very moment. called minutemen. These are former military armed to the tee and are already heading to the various borders These individuals do not work for the government but the Trump administration is not discouraging them to help hold down the border.
These individuals hate illegal immigrants and if anyone starts shooting men, women and whoever gets in the way, it will be these guys. All it will take is one immigrant man to throw a rock or bottle and all hell will break out.
With these guys mixed along with the military, and border patrol agents, no one will know who shot the first shot when all hell breaks loose.
